
ECK Civil Engineering Ltd were contracted to provide specialist welding, installation, and testing of over 5km of high-pressure HDPE pipework to transport brine water through Cheshire. The project demanded precision welding, rigorous quality assurance, and high-pressure testing to ensure safe and reliable operation.
ECK delivered a complete HDPE pipeline installation, including the welding and installation of over 5km of 500mm and 450mm HDPE pipes. Every weld was data logged using the McElroy Vault app, capturing weld parameters, photographs, and GPS locations for QA reporting. Pipelines were high-pressure tested to 15 bar for crude and weak brine lines and 24 bar for pumped brine lines. The new HDPE network was connected to steel pipework ready for commissioning.
ECK successfully installed and commissioned a high-pressure HDPE pipeline network with full QA documentation. The system now provides reliable, leak-free transport of brine water in accordance with design specifications.
