Overview
ECK Civil Engineering Ltd were commissioned to overlay an existing concrete floor at a live SUEZ waste transfer facility in Greater Manchester. The upgrade was designed to improve safety, extend service life, and enhance durability against chemical and impact loading.
Our Role
ECK carried out surface scabbling, reinforcement installation, and placement of a new Diamondcrete® overlay — a specialist high-strength concrete mix designed for demanding industrial environments. Strict quality control and curing methods were followed to achieve optimum wear resistance and durability.
Result
Completed on time and within budget, the new overlay delivers a long-lasting, low-maintenance solution capable of withstanding the operational demands of a modern waste transfer facility.
