Firewater Transfer Main Installation – Confidential Chemical Processing Facility
Overview
ECK Engineering Services were contracted to design, supply and install a new 630mm SDR11 high-pressure HDPE water main to enhance the firewater capability of a major chemical processing facility. The system was required to deliver exceptional flow rates to a complex deluge and sprinkler network, significantly strengthening the site’s emergency response infrastructure.
Our Role

Result
The system was pressure tested to 18 bar and commissioned successfully, providing a robust, high-capacity firewater main with zero-leak performance. The project improved site safety, ensured regulatory compliance and was delivered on time and within budget, supporting the client’s wider fire protection strategy.
