ECK Civil Engineering were appointed to deliver all foundation and concrete works for the new fire-water tank and pump house at B&M’s major distribution centre development. These structures form a critical part of the facility’s fire protection and asset-protection strategy, supporting safe operations and safeguarding high-value stock across the site.
ECK undertook a complete civil engineering package including deep excavation to existing vibro piles, installation of concrete blinding, fabrication and fixing of all steel reinforcement and full shuttering and formwork works.
We managed concrete supply, pouring and finishing to deliver durable, high-performance foundations suitable for continuous industrial use.
The team also constructed bespoke in-situ pipe support plinths to facilitate mechanical installation and integrate with the wider fire-water system.
The project was completed to specification and on programme, delivering a robust tank base, precision-built pump house foundation and integrated pipe support structures. The resulting concrete works provide long-term stability, industrial durability and a compliant infrastructure platform for the site’s fire protection system.
