THE PROJECT:

This project was for the installation of a new ground source heating System for a private domestic house set in the Gloucester countryside. This involved the installation of 14 x 200m horizontal ground source loops with 2 flow and return manifolds along with 130m flow and return pipework to the newly installed plant room. 

SCOPE OF WORKS:

  • Trenching and installation of 2800 metres of 40mm geothermal loops using a vibrating mole
  • Excavated large area for headering works to include manifolds flow and return lines with equal tees and all 14 x 40mm loops. 
  • Trenching and installation of 140m of flow and return lines from plant room to manifolds
  • Trenching and installation of 330m of electrical ducting (for western powers cables)
  • Trenching and installation of pre-insulated pipe, electrical ducting and water mains through customers driveway. 
  • Reinstatement works
